Already twenty-two companies participated in the first meeting of zhaga consortium in March 2010.Zhaga creates specifications aimed at ensuring the interchangeability of LED light sources from different manufacturers.Interchangeable LED light sources give manufacturers of lighting fixtures(luminaries) more choice in LED components that can be used in their fixtures without modification of the fixture.That lowers switching cost and reduces risks.More than 180 companies from Asia,Europe and Northern America have already joined the consortium since February 2010 when the consortium was founded.They include luminaries and lamp manufacturers,LED module makers and companies that supply the lighting industry.You will find a detailed list of all members on associate membership gives you access to the draft technical specifications and the possibility to participate in meetings of the general assembly.The regular membership additionally gives you voting rights in meetings of the general assembly and the possibility to actively work on the specifications.
